ABOUT dr.helena

Rev. Helena Mariades, Th. D., BCBC president and founder of Restoration Counseling Ministries, has been a pastoral counselor in the central Florida area for eight years and throughout the United States for the last two years.

Dr. Helena has completed the bachelor’s degree program in Pastoral Counseling, and obtained a master’s degree in Christian Psychology at Florida Christian University where she also received the President’s Award for achievement. Her doctorate studies were in theology at Florida Theological Seminary.

Member of the American Association of Christian Counselors since 2002.

Other ministry experiences include:

  • Establishing and administrating Restoration Groups. A Christ centered support groups ministry at Calvary Assembly in Winter Park, Florida.
  • Teaching spiritual warfare courses at Florida Christian University and various women’s Bible studies.
  • Co-directing Birthright of Norfolk, Virginia, a crisis pregnancy center.
  • Facilitating support groups for Radical Recovery a ministry of Capital Christian Center in Sacramento, California. Helping group members overcome alcohol and substance abuse, and grief. Also launching a post-abortion group called After the Choice.
  • Assisting numerous churches and pastors, and Christian physicians and organizations to accomplish their goals to improve the spiritual, emotional and physical health of those they serve and lead with the tools of counseling and Biblical principles.

Dr. Helena has written a spiritual warfare book entitled Strike the Target! A Step-by-Step Spiritual Warfare Manual for Greater Spiritual, Emotional and Physical Health.

She has been married for 24 years and resides in Jupiter, Florida with her husband, Peter, who is a minister.
