Deciding to talk to a life coach or counselor is not an easy decision. It takes time to feel comfortable with the idea of talking to someone about your situation or feelings. That’s okay; it’s a normal reaction.

1. Going to a life coach or counselor is a sign that you're ready for a change.

Sometimes, life can be unpredictable. Everyone needs an objective listener at some point in his or her life that can help point the way to clarity. Deciding to see a life coach or counselor for direction, or to resolve personal problems and painful feelings is wise. Proverbs 15:22 says, “Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.”

2. Counseling relieves emotional pressure that can lead to spiritual, mental and physical problems.

Emotional pressure, caused by keeping our thoughts and feelings to ourselves, is overwhelming and often leads to symptoms of anxiety and depression. Talking through your problems with someone whom you can trust and who is not judgmental, can bring great relief from the pressure and heal your mind, body and soul. It helps to identify your needs and focus your attention on the right solutions.

3. Seeking help is a sign of maturity and self-care.

People who are getting help from a life coach or counselor feel unstable in the sense of being unhappy, stuck or overwhelmed. Maybe you have tried to address a situation on your own, or by talking to a pastor, friend or family member, but nothing seems to help? With my training, skills and over 15 years of experience, I can assist you with accomplishing your goals, gaining freedom and healing, and discovering the solutions you desire.

4. Counseling is confidential.

All counselors must abide by strict ethical standards. It would be wrong for a counselor to inform anyone about what you said or even that you’re seeing a counselor. My life coaching and counseling services are STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL.

5. God leads us where we need to be for healing.

If you're looking for someone to listen, understand and help you find solutions from a biblical perspective, then you've come to the right place. With all the counseling choices that are available, it can be difficult to choose a counselor that is right for you. Faith-based life coaching and counseling is a broad description, so I like to let people know that my services are not only faith-based, but also offer the healing benefits of being biblically and prayer-based.

He leads me beside still waters,

He restores my soul. Psalm 23:2,3
